Hi guys, my name is Nancy Li. I am the owner of Lucky Drones, and this…is my first drone review!
As an owner of a site advertising drones, it does seem a little strange that I am not flying drones myself.
So when Windy from Banggood offered to send me a Hubsan X4 H502S Quadcopter for review…I could not refuse.
There are plenty of videos out there showing the unboxing and assembly of the Hubsan X4 H502S Quadcopter, so I will not bore you with these technical details.
What I would like to do is share with you my flight experience.
I bought 4 x AA batteries for the controller last night, and fully charged the battery that comes inside the drone, so when I arrived at the park today, I was all set and ready to fly.
The last time I flew a RC Helicopter was approx. 10 years ago, and at that time all the nice advanced features we see in drones today were not available.
It was really up to the person flying the rc helicopter to control it and stabilize it, not an easy task at that time.
Calibrating the compass 1 and 2 was fast and easy, and then I just needed to wait for a brief moment until the drone had 6 satellites signals.
I turned off the return home function, and armed the motors, by pressing on the 2 control sticks, one to the lowest left point and one to the lowest right point.
Bingo. Drone is ready for action.
I was absolutely surprised at how easy it is to fly and control the Hubsan X4 H502S Quadcopter.
It is very responsive, and there is nothing to worry about, as with the altitude hold, as soon as you take your finger off the throttle, the drone just sits there.
I had non stop fun for about 10 minutes, and quickly learned how to move the drone up, down, forward, backward, to the left and to the right, and how to spin it left and right.
At the end of the 10 minutes, I felt quite content. Happy. It was a great experience, and made me realize there is nothing to be afraid of, flying a drone is as easy as apple pie.
So here is my recommendation: If you are a newbie, a beginner, and you are looking for a high quality drone that is toy grade, but still has advanced features like FPV, altitude hold, return home and follow me, I can really say you will LOVE this drone, and have a LOT of fun with it.
The Hubsan X4 H502S Quadcopter is available at a low price at Banggood, where you get more bang for your buck!

5.8G FPV & HD Camera
The Hubsan H502S features a 720P HD Camera, which can record stunning aerial high-definition flight videos and pictures. When coupled with the follow me mode you can record some stunning videos from above.
Altitude Hold Mode
In altitude hold mode, the aircraft maintains a consistent altitude while allowing roll, pitch, and yaw to be controlled normally.
GPS Follow Me Mode
The Hubsan H502S features a GPS follow me mode. When enabled the H502S will follow the transmitter using the built-in GPS system allowing you to record your own action.
Headless mode, a function through which the aircraft will consider the direction opposite to that of the remote control as the correct one by default when it flies to a height where the operator is not able to judge the direction of the aircraft head with bare eyes, so that he/she can go on with the remaining positions.
GPS Return to Home and Failsafe
The Hubsan H502S features built-in GPS which enables the quadcopter to enter into a failsafe mode if the connection to the radio transmitter is lost. In failsafe mode, the flight control system will automatically control the quadcopter and bring it back to the Return To Home point and land. The RTH function can also be enabled directly from the transmitter, this will automatically bring the quadcopter to the Home point and land safely.
